Alone… so alone…

Those were the only thoughts running through the large Russian's mind as he trekked through the harsh and unforgiving storm. It was the truth. The very unfortunate truth. His once full home of countries was now empty, abandoned. Even his own sisters ran away from his home, never to see him again. Why? Ivan thought Why must I be forsaken like this? Can you not show me happiness? Love? Anything? He stopped an pulled his long coat closer to his body, sharp winds threatening to blow him away. While he was still a large country, his body had become fatigued from depression and damage done to his once strong nation. He knew it was a bad idea to go out for supplies during such a terrible storm but he thought he could at least find something. But that didn't end up being the case. I… I can't do this he realized. He attempted to quicken his pace but his tired legs gave out under him and he fell on to the cold, hard snow. Please… bring me an angel… my angel Ivan silently cried out as he sunk into darkness. Before unconsciousness consumed him, he heard a voice call out. It came closer and closer to him. He could not hear well but the sound of the voice was sweet and soothing. He listen to the calming voice before he was swallowed by utter nothingness.

You set down your finished book and reached for your hot chocolate. You stared into the blazing fire as you rested on the comfy couch, a pitiful feelignin your gut. You had rented a small cabin for you and a friend for the weekend but your friend had to once again cancel due to the storm. So you were there alone in the quiet cabin. You let out a gentle sigh as you carried your warm drink to the front window. Why does this always seem to happen? you thought as you took a small sip from your mug. This wasn't the first time you got cancelled on. You offered your friend a ride but she said she had to double (or in her case quadruple check) her large amount of bags, despite it being a three day trip. Really, you felt like she just wanted to avoid you as much as possible. You stared out the window, getting lost in your thoughts when something caught your eye. A figure, what looked to be a large man, walking through the hard falling snow. Who on earth would be out in the worst storm of the year? Just as that thought crossed your mind, you saw the figure fall to the ground, panic quickly shot through your mind. You quickly set down your mug and grabbed your coat and your favorite scarf, preparing to brave the elements. You ran out the door, the cold slapping you in the face, and headed to the figure on the ground, sliding down to him on your knees and began to gently shake him a little. "Sir? Sir? Are you all right? Can you hear me?" You said to the stranger, gaining no response much to your dismay. You placed two fingers on him neck, searching for any sign of life. He still has a pulse. That's good. But he feels so cold. There is no way he will survive if he stays out here. You debated what to do and decided this man needed help, and fast.

You weren't quite sure how but you managed to carry the incredibly large man into your cabin. Much to your surprise, he was lighter than expected. Granted he was heavy but his body was so weak, you lifted him with some ease. You laid the man onto the couch and went to get blankets. As you set the blankets down, you finally got a chance to look at the poor man. He had short, light beige hair that just barely reached his eyes. His nose was a little large but his face was still cute. His neck was wrapped in a long, cozy looking scarf that was slightly dirty. However, his long coat, as amazing as it looked,  was matted with dirt and slightly torn around some parts. He is pretty attractive you thought with a smile before blushing and shaking away the thought No _______ you are not going to fall for a man you don't know! you thought and sighed I might as well take off his wet jacket before he gets too cold You gently pulled off the large coat, blushing as you did. You couldn't help but blush more at the sight: despite looking worn out and fatigued, his body was very well built. You were tempted to feel the well chizled body but quick stopped when you remembered he was probably freezing. You grabbed the thick blankets and wrapped them around the large figure. The color in his face turned from blue to a pale pink. "At least you're getting better" you said with a smile. You pulled the blanket up a little more and placed a hand on his head, feeling his soft light hair. "Just hang in there. Your going to be fine." You decided to warm some soup and tea for when he woke up, figuring he would be hungry. You set the warm food on the coffee table by the couch and turned to face the fire. You knelt down and poked at the fire to get a bigger flame going, not noticing the man beginning to stir and awaken.

Ivan, though still in darkness, began regaining his senses. I'm… Alive? He thought surprised to the fact. He could feel his body wrapped in softness and warmth, a feeling he hadn't felt in a very long time. He slowly began to open his eyes, not truly believing in what he saw. He saw the small room he was in had wooden walls and floors, cozy furniture and rugs filling the room. His mouth watered a little as he smelled the soup and tea by his face. Where am I? he thought for a short while before realizing there was another person in the room, a young girl from what he could barely see, tending to a comforting fire. As he slowly sat up, the stranger turned around to look at him. The sight of the stranger made his face heat up and his mouth dry.

The girl had a sweet face with pale skin. (h/c) hair shined against the light of the fire, bangs hanging just above her (e/c) eyes. She looked at Ivan and a sweet smile appeared on her face, making his cheeks pinking. "Thank goodness your awake" the girl said in a angelic voice "I was worried about when you going to wake up." Ivan quick snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the stranger. "Where am I? And who are you?" Ivan asked half heartedly. Oh his accent… Russian sound so amazing you thought, a light tint appering on your cheeks. "Oh right, sorry. I'm _______, _________ ________. I found you passed out in the snow so I brought you into my cabin before you froze." Ivan just blinked. In all his years, no one had ever done something like this for him. This beauty before him had saved him from certain death, not seeming to want anything in return. Could it be? Is she… "Umm, sir?" the voice snapped him out of his thoughts and her looked at her again. "Are you okay?" Ivan gave a tired smile "Da. I am fine. Sorry about that. My name is Ivan Braginski" She smile again. Oh my, that smile… "It's nice to meet you. Ummm, If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing out in such a terrible storm?" He gave a weak smile to the girl, unlike his usual fake cheerful smile. "I was trying to get supplies but the storm came sooner that expected, da?"
"Weren't you with anyone?" His smile flattened a little. "Nyet. I am all alone. I used to have a home full of people but everyone left me alone one by one, even my sisters don't want to be around me" he resisted the urge to cry. He could not show weakness to you. He could not let this lovely thing see him so vulnerable and weak and-

"Ivan… I am so sorry…" Ivan looked up and blushed with surprise. He looked into your (e/c) orbs, filling with tears. But no sigh of pity or shame. Just compassion. "I had no idea, Ivan. I'm sorry I-"
"Do not worry. It is the past, da?" Ivan said trying to smile. You place your small hands on Ivan's larger ones, causing his pink cheeks to burn brighter. He looked up at your big, shining eyes. "I know this probably nothing coming from me, but… anyone who can't see you as a wonderful person, truly does not understand" Ivan was certain by this point that his cheeks were crimson by now as he looked at you. He gave a true smile as he wiped away the tears falling down your cheeks. "Thank you, _____". You smiled, your cheeks brighten up as well. You both sit there for a while, just looking into each others eyes, until- GROOOOOOOOWWWWWL. You both look down, Ivan blush from embarrassment. You let out a giggle "I think your stomach wants you to listen up."
"Da, I think your right" He chuckled and began to dig into the bowl of warm soup.

------

You two chatted for a while, discovering you both had a love for sunflowers, and other things, before Ivan notice that, besides you, the cabin was empty. "Hey, _________?" "Hmm?" You looked up at Ivan from your drink. "Who are you here with? This cabin seems a little empty." You gave a weak smile and set down your mug. "Actually, I'm here alone. I was supposed to have a friend come but she had to cancel. Its fine thought, you get used to it after a while" You looked away a little, trying to avoid Ivan's eyes. You didn't want him to see you upset. You suddenly felt a large hand cup your cheek and it turned your head to face him, sadness in his pretty violet eyes and his cheeks a soft pink, making you blush as well. "_________, anyone who would give up spending time with a beauty like you is a fool." He smiled as your eyes widened and your cheeks burn. "I-Ivan?" you stuttered. Slowly, your faces came closer, and, closer, and then, all you saw was beige and violet.

His lips met yours in a gentle embrace. You eyes widened at first but you fluttered them shut as you kissed back. His lips were soft as you leaned in a little more, wrapping your arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. He wrapped his arms around your waist, neither of you wanting to leave this blissful feeling. Finally, you parted to return for air. You both looked at each other. You gave a big smile and hugged the large Russian man, almost instantly having the embrace returned. You both sat on the couch in comfortable silence until you fell asleep in Ivan's lap, resting your head on his large chest.

------

Ivan looked down out at you sleeping form, smiling and stroking your soft hair. My sweet angel he thought I have finally found you he gave you a light kiss on your forehead and fell asleep, a smile on his face and a feeling of bliss in his heart.
